Join us this summer for the first ever Adult Summer Reading Program at the library:
Plant a Seed, Feed a Neighbor!
Farm City: Sign-up to read Farm City: The Education of an Urban Farmer by Novella Carpenter and receive a free copy with your folder of goodies including a plant-able bookmark! Simply read the book and return the review slip to be entered into our Grand Prize drawing for either a $50 gift certificate donated by Wood Jewelers of Marquette or a Sony eReader!
Book Bingo: Sign-up and receive a folder of goodies with a Book Bingo card. This card features literary genres in each square. Any book that fits the genre is eligible. Read five in a row for bingo and receive an entry into the Grand Prize drawing (up to three). Fill the entire board for an additional fourth entry into the drawing!
Plant a Seed, Feed a Neighbor: In addition to the two halves of the Summer Reading Program we are encouraging patrons to volunteer 30 minutes of time at the Grace Community Garden located on the corner of First and Euclid streets in Ishpeming. Library staff and anyone who would like to volunteer will be working on the Salvation Army plots. All food grown will go to neighbors in need at the end of the growing season. Each 30 minute session earns you another entry into the Grand Prize drawing so break out those gloves and trowels!
For more information feel free to call Sally Collins at 906-486-7195 or Evan David at 906-204-2307.
